Basketball Recap: Shoshoni Comes Up Short

Shoshoni was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their 12th straight defeat. They took a blow against the Hot Springs County Bobcats, falling 75-47. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Bobcats this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 46-45 back in January.

Despite the loss, Shoshoni saw an underclassman step up: freshman Mayce Jarvis posted 11 points. Jarvis also brought in his first field goal percentage of the season. Another player making a difference was Natalie Gilbertson, who had ten points and six rebounds.

Shoshoni's record now sits at 5-14. As for Hot Springs County, their win bumped their record up to 10-8.

Shoshoni wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 41-23 defeat against Rocky Mountain on the 15th. As for Hot Springs County, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 68-54 victory against Greybull on the 15th.
