Basketball Game Preview: Dirigo Cougars vs. North Yarmouth Academy Panthers

A feisty cat fight will be fought when the Dirigo Cougars duke it out with the North Yarmouth Academy Panthers at 12:30 p.m. on Saturday... Dirigo is coming into the game hot, having won their last four games.

Last Saturday, Dirigo earned a 25-17 win over Sacopee Valley. The 25-point effort marked the Cougars' lowest-scoring match of the season, but in the end it didn't matter.

Meanwhile, North Yarmouth Academy ended up a good deal behind Madison on Saturday and lost 48-29.

North Yarmouth Academy's loss dropped their record down to 3-2. As for Dirigo, they now have a winning record of 4-3.

Dirigo was taken down by North Yarmouth Academy 65-14 in their previous matchup back in December of 2023. Can Dirigo avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
