Wimberley entered their tilt with Canton on Friday with four consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with five. They came out on top against the Eagles by a score of 2-0.

The 2-0 score doesn't show just how dominant Wimberley was: they took both sets by at least ten points. The final score came out to 25-11, 25-15.

Wimberley's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Ashton Shipman, who had seven digs and four aces. Those four aces gave Shipman a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Carson Peoples, who had 14 assists and three digs.

Wimberley's victory bumped their record up to 5-1. As for Canton, their loss was their first of the season and makes their record 3-1.

Coming up, Wimberley will take on Hill Country Christian School of Austin in a tournament on Friday. As for Canton, they will head out to take on Community at 6:15 p.m. on Tuesday. The Eagles are facing the Braves at the right time seeing as the Braves are stuck on a three-game losing streak.
