Volleyball Recap: Guadalupe Centers Comes Up Short

Guadalupe Centers was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their 32nd straight defeat dating back to last season. They were a single set away from ending the streak, but they lost a 2-1 heartbreaker at the hands of the Belton Pirates. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Pirates this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 2-0 back in March.

Guadalupe Centers' loss dropped their record down to 0-6. As for Belton, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matchups. That's provided a massive bump to their 7-10-1 record this season.

Guadalupe Centers wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 2-0 defeat against Lincoln College Prep on the 11th. As for Belton, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 2-0 win against Raytown on the 11th.
