Softball Recap: Johnstown Takes a Loss

Johnstown was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They came up short against the Schoharie Storm, falling 22-10.

Julianna Kohot made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 3-for-4 with two stolen bases, five RBI, and one triple. She has been hot recently, having posted two or more stolen bases the last four times she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Chloe Frenyea, who earned one RBI, three runs, and three stolen bases.

Johnstown's loss dropped their record down to 1-9. As for Schoharie, their record is now 2-4.

Looking ahead, Johnstown will challenge Canajoharie at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Schoharie, they will face off against Cobleskill-Richmondville at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Bulldogs' pitching crew has only allowed three runs per game this season, so the Storm's hitters will have their work cut out for them.
