Volleyball Recap: Buena Extends Road Winning Streak to Three

Buena had won two straight road games and Kaylie Albores did her part to make it three on Thursday. The Bulldogs came out on top against the Oxnard Yellowjackets by a score of 3-1 for which the team can thank Albores, who had seven digs and three aces. She is also on a roll when it comes to assists, as she's now posted 13 or more in each of the last five games she's played.

Buena had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next three. The match finished with set scores of 17-25, 25-23, 25-22, 25-22.

Despite the loss, Oxnard still got an impressive performance from Jessica Camarillo, who had 23 digs and two aces. Maya Cunningham was another key player, getting 15 digs, two blocks, and two aces.

Buena now has a winning record of 6-5. As for Oxnard, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost ten of their last 11 matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 9-14 record this season.
