Baseball Recap: Amery Takes a Loss

Amery came into their game on Tuesday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They came up short against the Prescott Cardinals, falling 6-0. The loss continues a trend for the Warriors in their meetings with the Cardinals: they've now lost eight in a row.

Amery saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Jacob Maxon, who went 2-for-3 with one stolen base. Maxon is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as he's now snagged at least one in each of the last three games he's played.

Amery's defeat dropped their record down to 8-8. As for Prescott, they are on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 10-3 record this season.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Prescott beat Amery by a score of 6-5 on Thursday.
