Preview: Waterford Lancers vs. Stonington Bears
Waterford has enjoyed a three-game homestand but will soon have to dust off their road jerseys. They will square off against the Stonington Bears at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Keep an eye on the score for this one: the pair posted some lofty point totals in their previous games.
Last Friday, even if it wasn't a dominant performance, Waterford beat Windham 67-61.
Meanwhile, Stonington unfortunately witnessed the end of their seven-game winning streak on Friday. They fell 76-66 to Sports & Medical Sciences Academy.
Waterford's win ended a four-game drought at home and bumped them up to 8-9. As for Stonington, their loss dropped their record down to 12-4.
Waterford was able to grind out a solid victory over Stonington in their previous meeting back in February of 2023, winning 74-61. The rematch might be a little tougher for Waterford since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
