McClave had already won seven in a row dating back to last season and they went ahead and made it eight on Thursday. They put the hurt on the Swink Lions with a sharp 3-0 victory. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Cardinals also won the last time the pair played back in August of 2024.

While McClave won a shutout, things came down to the wire in the third set they played. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-17, 25-15, 25-22.

McClave's win bumped their record up to 5-0. As for Swink, their defeat was their first of the season and makes their record 2-1.

McClave has already played their next matchup, a 3-0 victory against Lone Star on the 30th. As for Swink, they will head out to face off against Crowley County at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
