Preview: Irondequoit Eagles vs. Spencerport Rangers
Irondequoit is 10-0 against Spencerport since February of 2018, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Wednesday. The Irondequoit Eagles will look to defend their home court against the Spencerport Rangers at 7:15 p.m.
Last Friday, Irondequoit came up short against Webster Schroeder and fell 54-45.
Even though Spencerport has not done well against Gates Chili recently (they were 1-8 in their previous nine matchups), they didn't let the past get in their way on Friday. Spencerport came out on top against Gates Chili by a score of 61-48.
Irondequoit's loss was their third straight on the road dating back to last season, which bumped their record down to 0-2. That rough patch can't be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 55.3 points per game. As for Spencerport, the victory got them back to even at 1-1.
Everything went Irondequoit's way against Spencerport in their previous meeting back in January of 2022 as Irondequoit made off with a 64-43 win. Does Irondequoit have another victory up their sleeve, or will Spencerport turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
