Football Recap: Macario Dade Jr's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Ouachita Parish over Alexandria

Ouachita Parish was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They took a 28-21 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Alexandria Trojans. The Lions lost against the Trojans in their previous head to head back in November of 2024, too, but the margin this time around was much closer than the 55-12 score last time.

Ouachita Parish lost despite a true team effort on offense. The best among them was Macario Dade Jr, who rushed for 144 yards and one touchdown. Ouachita Parish also got a significant boost from Montrell Conner, who ran away from the competition to the tune of 99 yards.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Alexandria to victory, but perhaps none more so than Noble Williams, who rushed for 125 yards and one TD on only 13 carries. Those 125 rushing yards gave Williams a new career-high. Kason Williams also helped out as he racked up 109 rushing yards.

Ouachita Parish's loss dropped their record down to 5-4. As for Alexandria, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 8-1.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Ouachita Parish is set to take on their familiar foe Pineville at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Alexandria will face off against rival Neville at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
