Soccer Game Preview: Del Rio vs. Medina Valley

The Del Rio Rams will square off against the Medina Valley Panthers at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The two teams are strolling into their matchups after big wins in their previous games.

Del Rio's defense heads into the contest hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Wednesday. They put the hurt on United South with a sharp 3-0 win.

Meanwhile, Medina Valley came tearing into Friday's game with eight straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 5.1 goals) and they left with even more momentum. Everything went their way against the Panthers as they made off with a 7-0 victory. Give Medina Valley's defense some credit: that's the team's ninth straight shutout.

Their offense was hitting United South from everywhere, as five different players booted in a goal. Cari Schott led that balanced group of strikers and accounted for two goals all by herself.

Medina Valley's win was their sixth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 11-1-1. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 34 goals over those six matches. As for Del Rio, their victory bumped their record up to 5-8-1.
