Baseball Recap: Spoto Takes a Loss

After soaring to 13 runs the game before, Spoto was a bit more limited in their matchup on Tuesday. They lost 7-1 to the Newsome Wolves. The defeat continues a trend for the Spartans in their meetings with the Wolves: they've now lost eight in a row.

Spoto saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Devin Dukes, who went 1-for-3 with one RBI.

Spoto now has a losing record of 8-9. As for Newsome, they pushed their record up to 14-3 with the win, which was their tenth straight at home dating back to last season.

Looking ahead, Spoto will face off against East Bay at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Newsome, they will challenge Durant at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (Newsome 2.7, Durant 3.5) so any runs scored will be well earned.
