Basketball Game Preview: Petrides vs. CSI International Studies

Petrides are taking a road trip to face off against CSI International Studies at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Petrides has given up an average of 66.8 points per game this season, but Thursday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Having struggled with four defeats in a row, Petrides turned things around against Tottenville on Monday. They came out on top against the Pirates by a score of 78-70. The victory was all the more spectacular given Petrides' disadvantage in MaxPreps' New York basketball rankings (they are ranked 764th, while Tottenville is ranked 303rd).

Meanwhile, after only 30 points in their last contest, CSI International Studies made sure to put some points up on the board against Port Richmond on Monday. CSI International Studies put the hurt on Port Richmond with a sharp 57-37 win. The game marked CSI International Studies' most dominant victory of the season.

CSI International Studies picked up their first home win, bumping their record up to 4-5. As for Petrides, their record now sits at 2-7.

Petrides came up short against CSI International Studies in their previous meeting back in December of 2025, falling 42-31. Can Petrides avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
