Softball Recap: Wilcox RVT Victorious

Wilcox RVT had won three straight at home, but on Tuesday they bumped up to 16-5 to make it four. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Windham RVT Mighty Tigers, sneaking past 7-6. Give some credit to the fans of both teams: the last three times they've met, the home team has come away the winner.

Ta'Nyia Johnson was excellent, going 2-for-3 with two runs, one double, and one RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of Ariana Suarez, who went 2-for-3 with one stolen base, one run, and one double.

Wilcox RVT was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .407. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a batting average of .375 or higher in eight consecutive contests.

As for Windham RVT, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 10-8. Give some credit to the fans of both teams: the last three times they've met, the home team has come away the winner.

On Windham RVT's side, Genna Sargent made the most of her time in the batter's box despite the final result and went a perfect 3-for-3 with two stolen bases, two runs, and one double. Danika Connors also deserves some recognition as she hit her first triple of the season.
