Baseball Recap: St. Joseph Catholic Takes a Loss

St. Joseph Catholic was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their seventh straight defeat. They lost 13-1 to the Jackson Prep Patriots. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Patriots this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 6-1 last Tuesday.

John Dean D'Antonio made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and scored a run and stole two bases while getting on base in two of his three plate appearances.

St. Joseph Catholic now has a losing record of 9-10. As for Jackson Prep, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 15-7-1.

While St. Joseph Catholic had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
