Softball Game Preview: Credo Gryphon vs. Point Arena Pirates

Credo and Point Arena are an even 3-3 against one another since May of 2023, but likely not for long. The Gryphon will venture away from home to square off against the Pirates at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The teams are rolling into the game with opposing streaks: Credo has struggled recently with four losses in a row, while Point Arena will arrive with four straight wins.

Tomales hit Credo with a 12-run sixth inning on Friday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Gryphon came up short against the Braves, falling 14-4.

Credo saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Aliana Martinez, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base and one run.

Point Arena played against Technology on Tuesday and won via forfeit.

Point Arena's victory bumped their record up to 9-10. As for Credo, their defeat dropped their record down to 5-15.
