Basketball Recap: Ashland Takes Loss Despite Strong Performances from Jaya Milburn and Biannca Ceniceros

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Ashland can now relate to. They lost 59-33 to the Bucklin Red Aces on Friday. The Blue Jays haven't had much luck with the Red Aces recently, as the team has come up short the last eight times they've met.

Biannca Ceniceros and Jaya Milburn certainly did their best on Friday to avoid the loss. Ceniceros posted six points along with five rebounds and four steals, while Milburn had seven points and five boards. Milburn is also on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in each of the last six games she's played.

Ashland's defeat dropped their record down to 12-10. As for Bucklin, the win (which was their 17th in a row) raised their record to 19-3.

As of now, neither Ashland nor Bucklin have any future games scheduled.
