Soccer Recap: Heritage Takes a Loss

After flying high against Newton last Tuesday, Heritage came back down to earth. The Heritage Patriots fell just short of the Grovetown Warriors by a score of 3-2 on Friday. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Warriors this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 6-4 back in February.

Adia Ritchie and Adelina Ritchie scored both of Heritage's goals, bringing their combined season tally to 24 goals.

Heritage has traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-6 record this season. The victory (which was Grovetown's third in a row) raised their record to 6-3.

Coming up, Heritage will welcome Landmark Christian at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Heritage is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 3.9 goals per game this season. As for Grovetown, they will head out on the road to face off against Grayson at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
