Volleyball Recap: Centennial Coyotes vs. Verrado Vipers
Centennial had to kick off their season on the road on Thursday, but they showed no ill effects. They came out on top against the Verrado Vipers by a score of 3-1. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Coyotes also won the last time the pair played back in August of 2024.
Centennial was especially dominant in the third set. The final score came out to 25-23, 19-25, 25-12, 25-23.

Kate Federico had an outrageously good game as she had 25 digs and four aces. Those 25 digs gave her a new career-high.
They weren't the only good server: Centennial was lethal from the service line and finished the game with 14 aces. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Verrado only served seven aces.
Verrado's loss came despite a true team effort with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Katelyn Barton, who had 19 assists and four digs. Elleana Bejarano was another key player, getting 14 digs and three assists.
Centennial wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 3-0 win against Desert Mountain on the 3rd. As for Verrado, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 3-0 defeat against Chaparral on the 2nd.
