Volleyball Recap: Alta Snaps Five-Game Streak of Losses on the Road

Alta was handed a three-set defeat in their previous outing, but that didn't affect their clutch gene on Tuesday. They won by a set and slipped past the Viewmont Vikings 3-2. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 3-1 back in September.

Alta wouldn't go down easily and took Viewmont into a fifth set where they got it done with a six-point win. The final score came out to 25-23, 25-23, 26-28, 20-25, 15-9.

Viewmont's loss shouldn't obscure the performances of Mia McGranaghan, who had eight digs and two aces, and Ella Rawson, who had 20 digs and nine kills.

Alta's victory ended a five-match drought on the road and puts them at 14-13. As for Viewmont, they are on a 15-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 5-16.
