Football Recap: Doddridge County's Win on Friday Extends Winning Streak to Three

Doddridge County had won two straight games and Lyric Blake did his part to make it three on Friday. The Bulldogs blew past the Tyler Knights 47-8 thanks in part to Blake, who rushed for 116 yards and three scores on only 11 carries, and also picked up 43 receiving yards and a pair of TDs. He didn't just play on offense: he also made four total tackles (1.0 for loss) and defended one pass.

Doddridge County's victory bumped their record up to 3-0. As for Tyler, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 1-2.

Looking ahead, Doddridge County will square off against Ravenswood at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Tyler, they will challenge Petersburg at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
