Softball Recap: West Salem Beats South Salem for Their Sixth Straight Victory

West Salem had already won five in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 11.8 runs) and they went ahead and made it six on Monday. Their pitchers stepped up to hand the South Salem Saxons a 15-0 shutout. 15 seems to be a good number for the Titans as the team scooped up a win with the same number of runs in their previous game.

West Salem pushed their record up to 12-5 with the victory, which was their third straight at home. The home wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.3 runs over those games. As for South Salem, their loss dropped their record down to 1-12.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. West Salem is set to challenge their familiar foe Sprague at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Meanwhile, South Salem will square off against rival McNary at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
