Softball Recap: Fremont Takes a Loss

Fremont was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their eighth straight defeat dating back to last season. They fell 6-2 to the Copper Hills Grizzlies. The Silverwolves were not able to make up for their loss to the Grizzlies from their previous meeting back in March of 2020.

Savannah Palmatier was cooking despite her team's loss, going a perfect 3-for-3 with one stolen base and one RBI. She has been hot recently, having posted at least one stolen base the last three times she's played. Aly Tobias also deserves some recognition as she got her first hit of the season.

Fremont's defeat dropped their record down to 0-6. As for Copper Hills, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 4-2.

Coming up, Fremont will face off against Uintah at 3:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Copper Hills, they will head out on the road to square off against Pleasant Grove at 3:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
