Basketball Game Preview: Norland Vikings vs. Carrollton School of the Sacred Heart Cyclones

The Norland Vikings will venture away from home to take on the Carrollton School of the Sacred Heart Cyclones at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. The squads are rolling into the game with opposing streaks: Norland has struggled recently with four defeats in a row, while Carrollton School of the Sacred Heart will arrive with five straight wins.

Norland's tournament run continued when they took on Cardinal Gibbons on Saturday. Norland was outmatched by Cardinal Gibbons and fell 62-31.

Meanwhile, Carrollton School of the Sacred Heart greeted the New Year with with a 52-37 victory over Stone Ridge School of the Sacred Heart. The win was all the more spectacular given the Cyclones' disadvantage in MaxPreps' basketball rankings in their respective home states (they are ranked 132nd in Florida, while the Gators are ranked 48th in Maryland).

Carrollton School of the Sacred Heart's victory was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 8-6. They've dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 27.2 points. As for Norland, their loss dropped their record down to 3-6.
