Basketball Recap: Anisa Adrovic's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Thomas Jefferson over George Washington

Thomas Jefferson lost against George Washington back in January and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Thomas Jefferson Spartans came up short against the George Washington Patriots, falling 55-34. While losing is never fun, the Spartans can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Colorado basketball rankings (they are ranked 242nd, while the Patriots are ranked 95th).

Several Spartans players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Anisa Adrovic, who went 5 of 12 en route to 11 points. Another player making a difference was Leila Olbricht-Simon, who posted seven points and seven rebounds.

Thomas Jefferson's loss ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 5-11. As for George Washington, the win (which was their eighth in a row) raised their record to 11-6.
