Basketball Recap: North Canyon Rattlers vs. Highland Prep Honey Badgers
North Canyon was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They were just a bucket shy of victory and fell 53-52 to the Highland Prep Honey Badgers.
Highland Prep found their leader in freshman Terrance Byrd, who dropped a double-double on 25 points and 12 rebounds. Those 25 points set a new season-high mark for Byrd. The team also got some help courtesy of Paxton Clarke, who dropped a double-double on ten points and 13 rebounds.
North Canyon's defeat dropped their record down to 1-4. As for Highland Prep, they now have a winning record of 3-2.
North Canyon will square off against Canyon View at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Canyon View will roll in looking for their fifth straight victory, something North Canyon surely won't give up without a fight.
