It'll be a Battle of the Birds when Calvary Christian Academy Eagles duke it out with Ferguson Falcons at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Calvary Christian Academy is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 6.5 runs per game this season.

Calvary Christian Academy's tournament run continued when they took on Somerset Academy on Monday. Calvary Christian Academy came out on top against Somerset Academy by a score of 4-1.

Carlos Lugo was a standout: he got on base in three of his four plate appearances with one home run. Another player making a difference was Braden Rosenthal, who went 2-for-4 with one home run.

Meanwhile, Ferguson earned a 7-3 victory over Keys Gate on Friday. The win continues a trend for the Falcons in their matchups with the Knights: they've now won four in a row.

Jose Rijo looked comfortable as he tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than one earned run any time he's pitched this season.

At the plate, Alain Marquez was excellent, scoring two runs while going 1-for-3. He has become a key player for Ferguson: the team is undefeated when he posts at least two runs, but 5-7-1 otherwise. Adrian Perez also deserves some recognition as he hit his first double of the season.

Ferguson now has a winning record of 8-7-1. As for Calvary Christian Academy, their record is now 8-6-3.
