Baseball Game Preview: Eastern View Cyclones vs. Massaponax Panthers

The Eastern View Cyclones are taking a road trip to challenge the Massaponax Panthers at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Eastern View's pitching crew has only allowed 2.9 runs per game this season, so Massaponax's hitters will have their work cut out for them.

While Eastern View didn't have the best season last year (they finished 4-16), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past. They put the hurt on James Monroe with a sharp 11-3 win on Thursday. The victory continues a trend for the Cyclones in their matchups with the Yellow Jackets: they've now won four in a row.

Meanwhile, Massaponax was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their seventh straight loss. They came up short against Colonial Forge, falling 8-2.

Cohen Cashin was cooking despite his team's loss, going a perfect 3-for-3 with one stolen base and one double.

Massaponax's defeat dropped their record down to 0-7-1. As for Eastern View, their win bumped their record up to 6-2.

Eastern View beat Massaponax 7-4 in their previous matchup last Friday. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Cyclones since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
