Basketball Game Preview: St. Edward Eagles vs. Hoover Vikings

The St. Edward Eagles will face off against the Hoover Vikings at 3:30 p.m. on Saturday. St. Edward knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past four contests -- so hopefully Hoover likes a good challenge.

Last Tuesday, St. Edward was fully in charge, breezing past Brush 59-25. The Eagles pushed the score to 56-18 by the end of the third, a deficit the Arcs cut but never quite recovered from.

Meanwhile, Hoover was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap on Friday as they fell 51-45 to Jackson. The loss was the Vikings' first of the season.

St. Edward's victory bumped their record up to 4-0. As for Hoover, their loss ended a six-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 2-1.
