Volleyball Recap: Isabelle Melbye and Paisley Benson Secure Win for Southampton

Southampton extended their winning streak to three games thanks to a huge performance from Savannah Bryant. The Indians came out on top against the Appomattox Regional Governor's Arts & Tech Dragons by a score of 3-1 on Tuesday with plenty of help from Bryant, who had 11 digs and seven aces. She is on a roll when it comes to aces, as she's now served three or more in each of the last five games she's played.

Southampton walked away with the victory (and looked especially good in the fourth set). The match finished with set scores of 25-16, 25-18, 23-25, 25-11.

Leading Southampton to victory were Paisley Benson and Isabelle Melbye. Benson had seven digs and four aces, while Melbye had 13 digs and five aces. That's the most aces Benson has posted over her last four contests.

They weren't the only good server: Southampton was lethal from the service line and finished the game with 23 aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least 14 aces every time they've taken the court this season.

Southampton's win bumped their record up to 5-3. As for Appomattox Regional Governor's Arts & Tech, their loss ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 5-2.
