Basketball Recap: Warner's Victory on Wednesday Extends Winning Streak to Two

If Borrego Springs wanted to avenge their loss from the last time they played Warner, they should've done a better job of containing Antonio Amado. The Warner Wildcats simply couldn't be stopped on Wednesday as they easily beat the Borrego Springs Rams 68-18 thanks in part to Amado, who went 11 for 16 on his way to 22 points in addition to five rebounds and four steals. The dominant performance gave him a new career-high in points.

The win made it two in a row for Warner and bumps their season record up to 6-5. As for Borrego Springs, their defeat was their fourth straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 0-8.

Warner won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Ocean View Christian at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Borrego Springs, they will be playing at home against West Shores at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. Borrego Springs is facing West Shores at the right time seeing as West Shores is stuck on a seven-game losing streak.
