Basketball Game Preview: Westland Hialeah Wildcats vs. Monsignor Pace Spartans

It was a proper cat-fight when Westland Hialeah duked it out withKillian on Thursday. The game between Westland Hialeah and Killian didn't end well, with Westland Hialeah falling 66-51. The Wildcats have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Meanwhile, a well-balanced attack led Monsignor Pace over Hialeah-Miami Lakes in every quarter on their way to victory on Saturday. Everything went Monsignor Pace's way against Hialeah-Miami Lakes as Monsignor Pace made off with a 71-45 victory. The win was a breath of fresh air for the Spartans as it put an end to their three-game losing streak.

Monsignor Pace's win came from a few key players Westland Hialeah will need to keep an eye on. One of the most notable was Easton Gelin, who went 12 of 20 on his way to 27 points and three steals. Those 27 points gave him a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Teagan Jordan, who dropped a double-double on ten points and 11 rebounds.

Monsignor Pace smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 18 offensive boards. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their offensive rebound total in three consecutive matchups.

Monsignor Pace's record now sits at 5-20. As for Westland Hialeah, their loss dropped their record down to 9-12.
