Borrego Springs extended their postseason success on Tuesday against Ocean View Christian. They blew past the Patriots 14-1. The Rams might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won eight matches by six runs or more this season.

Chris Alcaraz and Joey Rocha made a big impact while hitting and pitching. On the mound, Alcaraz tossed three innings while giving up just one earned run off one hit. Meanwhile, Rocha pitched three innings while giving up no earned runs off three hits. He has been consistent: he hasn't given up more than one earned run in five consecutive appearances. At the plate, Alcaraz got on base in three of his four plate appearances with three stolen bases, two runs, and one RBI, while Rocha fired off two home runs, four runs, and two stolen bases while going 3-for-3. The dominant performance also gave Rocha a new career-high in RBI (four).

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Mauricio Rodriguez, who got on base in three of his four plate appearances with two stolen bases, three runs, and one RBI. He has been hot recently, having posted at least one stolen base the last three times he's played. Another player making a difference was Alexis Urquidez, who went 2-for-4 with three RBI and two doubles.

Borrego Springs kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 12 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least nine hits in six consecutive contests.

Borrego Springs pushed their record up to 16-2 with the win, which was their seventh straight at home. The home victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 12.6 runs over those games. As for Ocean View Christian, their defeat dropped their record down to 12-9.
