4A Desert Top Player Performances of the Week

Congratulations to this week's top players! We're covering the best performances in games played from last Wednesday through Friday (using all statistics entered as of the time of writing). Enjoy!

Danielle Morales Tops All Others This Week

Starting off the list is Arbor View's Danielle Morales, who we judged to be the best player in the league this week. On Thursday Morales made four total tackles and snagged an interception. The effort also marked the most rushing yards (205) she has had since back in January of 2024. Her rushing production has been exceptional as that marked her fifth straight game with at least 125 rushing yards.

Arbor View pushed their record up to 12-7 with the victory, which was their seventh straight at home dating back to last season. Morales and Arbor View will challenge Bishop Gorman at 5:00 p.m. on Friday.

Big Game from Anderson As Durango Fell 28-12

Durango was sadly handed a defeat on Thursday, but Taylor Anderson did her best to prevent it. Anderson turned in nothing short of a gem, picking up 105 receiving yards and one touchdown.

This year, Anderson has caught 2 touchdowns while averaging 51 receiving yards per game.

Karah Foss Delivers Best Performance of Season

On Thursday, Arbor View got the W thanks in part to Karah Foss playing the best football she has all season. Foss picked up three sacks and made eight total tackles (4.0 for loss) in addition to snagging an interception.

Foss might have her next game, a road matchup with Bishop Gorman, circled on her calendar. Back in December of 2024 (the last time Foss saw the Gaels), she picked up two sacks and made seven total tackles.

A Season-Best Effort from Ashley Galvis Leads Amplus Academy over Desert Pines

On Wednesday, Amplus Academy got the W thanks in part to Ashley Galvis playing the best football she has all season. Galvis rushed for 120 yards and one touchdown while picking up 7.5 yards per carry, and also threw for 39 yards and two touchdowns.

With the victory, Amplus Academy broke their four-game losing streak and moved their record to 3-7. Galvis and Amplus Academy will take on Sierra Vista at 4:30 p.m. on Friday.

Nakaijah Beasley Rounds Out Top Five

Rounding off our Top Five is Nakaijah Beasley of Mojave. Beasley threw for 189 yards and four touchdowns while completing 83.3% of her passes.

The win was the third in a row for Mojave, bringing their record for this year to 13-3. Beasley and Mojave will challenge Clark at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
