East is 9-0-1 against South since May of 2019 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Wednesday. The Thunderbirds will face off against the Bison at 4:00 p.m. The two teams have had a bumpy ride up to this point with four consecutive losses for East and six for South.

East is coming in fresh off a high-stakes matchup with another one of Wyoming's top teams: Sheridan, who was ranked second at the time (East was ranked 15th). The Thunderbirds took a 4-2 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Broncs on Saturday.

Meanwhile, South lost 4-1 to Thunder Basin on Saturday.

South's loss dropped their record down to 1-12. As for East, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-8-1.

East took their victory against South when the teams last played back in April by a conclusive 8-1 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Thunderbirds since the team won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
