Volleyball Recap: Brantley County Herons vs. Savannah Country Day Hornets
Brantley County was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They fell 2-0 to the Savannah Country Day Hornets. If the Herons were looking for revenge after losing 2-0 to the Hornets when the teams met back in September of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Savannah Country Day to victory, but perhaps none more so than Addison Stubbs, who had six digs and four aces. Those four aces gave Stubbs a new career-high. Boots Buckler was another key player, getting five aces and five assists.
Brantley County's loss dropped their record down to 11-17. As for Savannah Country Day, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 7-5 record this season.
Brantley County will square off against Cook at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Savannah Country Day, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 2-0 defeat against Savannah Christian on the 11th.
