It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Lakeland can now relate to. They took a 7-4 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Bartow Yellow Jackets on Monday. The Dreadnaughts' defeat signaled the end of their five-game winning streak.

Lakeland got a good showing from LOGAN MCMICKLE, who didn't allow a single earned run while striking out six over four innings pitched. MCMICKLE has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than two walks in five consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, CARTER MASLYN and STUART NORMAN stepped up to the plate in a big way. MASLYN went 3-for-5 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one double, while NORMAN scored a run and stole a base while going 2-for-3. MASLYN is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as he's now snagged at least one in each of the last four games he's played.

Lakeland's record now sits at 14-12. As for Bartow, they moved to 6-18 with that victory, which also ended their ten-game losing streak.

Lakeland does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Bartow, they will take on Bloomingdale at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Bulls' pitching crew has only allowed 1.5 runs per game this season, so the Yellow Jackets' hitters will have their work cut out for them.
