Volleyball Recap: Montgomery Bears vs. Dripping Springs Tigers
Montgomery lost against Dripping Springs back in August of 2019, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Bears took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Tigers. The matchup marked the first time this year in which the Bears were not able to get on the board.
Delaney Wright paced Montgomery's offense, picking up 14 kills. Wright got some help from Ava Collins and her 22 assists.
Leading Dripping Springs to victory were Emerson Robbins and Allie Jenkins. Robbins had eight digs and four aces, while Jenkins had ten assists and three digs. Those four aces gave Robbins a new career-high.
Having lost for the first time this season, Montgomery fell to 4-1. As for Dripping Springs, the victory keeps them at an undefeated 5-0.
Montgomery wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 2-0 win against Atascocita on the 15th. As for Dripping Springs, they have also already played their next game, a 2-1 defeat against Eagle Mountain on the 15th.
