Soccer Recap: Kings Mountain Comes Up Short

Kings Mountain was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their eighth straight loss. They took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Ashbrook Greenwave. If Kings Mountain were looking for revenge after losing 8-0 to Ashbrook when the teams met back in October of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Kings Mountain's defeat dropped their record down to 1-8. As for Ashbrook, their win was their first in the conference, bumping their conference record up to 1-2 and their overall record up to 2-10-1.

When Kings Mountain and Ashbrook next hit the pitch, they'll be up against teams who recently just can't seem to lose. The Mountaineers will face off against South Point and their three-game winning streak at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Meanwhile, Ashbrook will try to stop Forestview's four-game winning streak when they meet at 6:30 p.m. on Monday.
