Basketball Recap: Santana Takes a Loss

Santana lost against Granite Hills back in January of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Santana Sultans were outmatched by the Granite Hills Eagles and fell 73-46. The Sultans have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Granite Hills was led to victory by Lathan Fry and Andre Dankha. Fry dropped a double-double on 17 points and 12 rebounds, while Dankha almost dropped a double-double on 20 points and nine boards. The game was Fry's third in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Jasen Hughes, who went 5 of 11 en route to 13 points.

Santana's loss dropped their record down to 11-10. As for Granite Hills, the victory was the sixth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 11-10.

Santana will head out to square off against Valhalla at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. One thing working in Valhalla's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last four contests. Granite Hills has already played their next matchup (against West Hills), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
