Softball Recap: Lincoln County Comes Up Short

The Lincoln County Falcons didn't have quite enough to beat the Mount Juliet Golden Bears on Saturday and fell 3-2.

Lincoln County saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Brinley Moran, who went 2-for-3 with one double and one RBI. That double marked the first that Moran hit this season.

Lincoln County's defeat dropped their record down to 9-5-2. As for Mount Juliet, the victory (which was their sixth in a row) raised their record to 11-3-1.

Coming up, Lincoln County will square off against Coffee County Central at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (Lincoln County 3.1, Coffee County Central 2.9) so any runs scored will be well earned. As for Mount Juliet, they have already played their next match, a 14-1 win against Varsity Opponent on the 30th.
