The Moberly Spartans will take on the Salisbury Panthers at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Moberly is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 55 points per game this season.

Moberly saw some tournament action on Tuesday. They walked away with a 49-36 win over North Callaway. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Spartans.

Moberly's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Amar'E Hawkins, who posted 11 points and six boards. Cameron Doubrava was another key player, putting up 16 points.

Moberly smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 14 offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least 13 offensive rebounds in five consecutive matchups dating back to last season.

Meanwhile, it was a proper cat-fight when Salisbury took on South Shelby on Friday. The Panthers were the clear victors by a 62-37 margin over the Cardinals. The Panthers haven't had any issues with the Cardinals recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive victory against them.

Moberly's win bumped their record up to 3-1. As for Salisbury, their victory bumped their record up to 1-0.

Moberly took their win against Salisbury in their previous meeting back in December of 2024 by a conclusive 58-35 score. Will the Spartans repeat their success, or do the Panthers have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
