Basketball Recap: West Limestone Comes Up Short

West Limestone lost against Madison Academy back in December of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The West Limestone Wildcats took a blow against the Madison Academy Mustangs, falling 56-27. The contest marked the Wildcats' lowest-scoring game so far this season.

West Limestone's defeat dropped their record down to 7-15. As for Madison Academy, the victory was the eighth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 23-2.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. West Limestone will be taking part in a tournament against Elkmont at 3:15 p.m. on Monday. As for Madison Academy, they will square off against Bob Jones at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. Madison Academy knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past seven matchups -- so hopefully Bob Jones likes a good challenge.
