Baseball Recap: La Salle College Explorers vs. Hazleton Area Cougars
With a playoff game on the line, La Salle College rose to the challenge on Monday. They were the clear victor by a 10-4 margin over the Hazleton Area Cougars. Winning may never get old, but La Salle College sure is getting used to it with their 13th in a row.
Liam Hawley and Aimon Chandler did most of the damage at the plate: Hawley scored two runs and stole a base while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances, while Chandler went 1-for-4 with three RBI, a triple, and a stolen base. The team also got some help courtesy of Matt Gannon, who scored two runs while getting on base in all four of his plate appearances.
