Recap: Fort Bend Willowridge vs. Manvel
Manvel won the last time they faced Fort Bend Willowridge, and things went their way on Friday, too. Manvel walked away with a 49-41 win. The victory was business as usual for them and keeps their flawless record intact.
The matchup started off well for the Mavericks, whose offense put up 28 first-half points. Fort Bend Willowridge wasn't quite able to keep up, scoring 21 to make it 28-21 heading into the break. The offense for the Mavericks continued to do well in the second half, scoring another 21 points to put the game away.
Manvel's Isaiah King was one of the most active players for the team as he snatched two receiving TDs.
Manvel is on the road again on Thursday and plays against Waltrip at 7 p.m. ET. Manvel doesn't have the home-field advantage, but they do enjoy an advantage in the MaxPreps rankings. Fort Bend Willowridge will look to defend their home turf against Sterling at 6 p.m. ET. The MaxPreps rankings favor the Eagles, but they won't be able to rely on this superior ranking alone to carry them to victory.
