East View waltzed into their game on Friday with six straight wins... but they left with seven. They enjoyed a cozy 66-47 win over the Pflugerville Connally Cougars. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 76-66 back in December of 2024.

Pflugerville Connally lost despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being Anthony Phagans, who went 7 for 17 en route to 19 points. The dominant performance also gave Phagans a new career-high in blocks (two). Christian Sanders was another key player, putting up five points and seven rebounds.

East View has been performing well recently as they've won 14 of their last 17 matches, which provided a nice bump to their 22-7 record this season. As for Pflugerville Connally, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 19-11.

Coincidentally, both will both be playing Elgin the next time they take the court. Pflugerville Connally will head out to face Elgin at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, while East View will host them at 7:00 p.m. on January 31st.
