Basketball Recap: Holy Cross Lutheran Academy Takes a Loss

Holy Cross Lutheran Academy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their ninth straight loss dating back to last season. They had to suffer through a 49-16 loss at the hands of the Orangewood Christian Rams. The Crusaders were probably out for revenge after losing 32-2 to them when the teams met back in January of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Mai TellezMartinez was her usual excellent self, putting up 22 points for Orangewood Christian. Another player making a difference was Robyn Stephens, who posted 11 points.

Holy Cross Lutheran Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 0-3. As for Orangewood Christian, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 4-8.

Holy Cross Lutheran Academy does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Orangewood Christian, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 41-20 loss against Cornerstone Charter Academy on the 29th.
