Baseball Game Preview: River View Black Bears vs. Sheridan Generals

For the second straight game, River View will face off against Sheridan. The Black Bears will look to defend their home field on Tuesday against the Generals at 5:00 p.m.

River View is probably headed into the contest with a chip on their shoulder considering Sheridan just ended the team's seven-game winning streak on Monday. They came up short against the Generals, falling 6-0.

For Sheridan's part, not much got past Brody White, who gave up just four hits and racked up nine Ks to keep River View off the board.

On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on James Solomon, who went 3-for-4 with two stolen bases, three runs, and one RBI. He has become a key player for Sheridan: the team is undefeated when he posts at least two runs, but 3-4 otherwise. Another player making a difference was Noah Wamer, who went 2-for-4 with two runs and one stolen base.

The win snapped Sheridan's losing streak at three games and leaves them with a 9-4 record. As for River View, their defeat dropped their record down to 10-8.
