Basketball Recap: Amarie Berrios' Big Game Can't Quite Lead the Park School of Buffalo over Nardin Academy

The Park School of Buffalo suffered their biggest loss since February 1st on Tuesday. They came up short against the Nardin Academy Gators, falling 55-34. The defeat continues a trend for the Pioneers in their matchups with the Gators: they've now lost four in a row.

The Park School of Buffalo lost despite a true team effort on offense. The best among them was Amarie Berrios, who went 6-for-15 en route to 16 points and three steals. That was a full 47.1% of The Park School of Buffalo's points, marking the fourth time in a row Berrios has posted more than a third of the team's points. Alana Wilson was another key player, putting up seven points along with nine rebounds and four steals.

Nardin Academy's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Olivia Braun led the charge by dropping a double-double with 15 points and 13 boards. Braun has become a key player for Nardin Academy: the team is 12-5 when she posts at least ten rebounds, but 0-7 otherwise. Another player making a difference was Kara Krupski, who went 7-for-16 on her way to 18 points in addition to seven boards and five assists.

The Park School of Buffalo's loss dropped their record down to 12-9. As for Nardin Academy, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 12-12 record this season.
